Yoga is a journey toward self-awareness, and meditation is a helpful tool along the way. The benefits of meditation are many. A regular meditation practice helps reduce stress and tension in both the body and the mind and helps the practitioner gain a greater sense of tranquility and joy. Through meditation our mind becomes clearer and less disturbed, and greater self-awareness is achieved. This six-week course is designed to guide the practitioner step-by-step in the practice of meditation. You will learn basic steps that you can follow each time you sit for meditation– steps that will help you move into meditation naturally and with more ease, and deepen your practice on a weekly basis. This Foundations of Meditation course is suitable for those who are just starting out in a meditation practice, or for anyone with meditation experience who would like to refine their practice.

Hi, I’m Rosie


My meditation practice began when I was in college and has been a constant in my life ever since (that's not to say that there haven't been times when my practice wasn't as regular). Meditation has always been a source of strength for me, something I carry with me, a part of who I am. This practice, which I learned from my teachers at the Himalayan Institute, has helped me discover more of who I truly am, bringing a greater measure of peace and happiness to my life. I'm excited to share it with you in this six-week course and I hope that you, too, will discover something in meditation that will be a constant companion to you as you journey through life.
